Fresh off a dynamic year of live performances, Gilda House is thrilled to offer a series of new releases in 2024. Following the successful spring release of their single "Anam Cara" and a number of tour dates, including a standout appearance at Treefort Festival, the band is unveiling their latest single, "How Bad" on October 11th. This track stays true to their signature style—emotive, punchy, and captivating—creating a sonic landscape that invites listeners to engage, dance, and contemplate their own personal and communal experiences.

In keeping with their classic pop sensibilities, the band offers hook-filled choruses and purposeful vocals that resonate with their audience. "How Bad" speaks to the freedom and pressure release we experience when letting go of the idea that we have to live our lives a certain way in order to please others.

The live lineup features Meg Gildehaus (lyrics, lead vocals, and bass synth), Tony Morales (guitar, keys, and backup vocals), and Nick Miles (drums and lighting design). Behind the scenes, Sean Lynch manages the band, contributes to recording, and mixes their live shows. Each member, bringing their own expertise and dedication, contributes to the writing process. The collaborative environment is both inspiring and productive, signaling that their best work is still unfolding.

For Gilda House, and particularly for Meg Gildehaus, this year’s new music holds a sense of newfound freedom. The previous releases, AB Side A and Be Edise, formed a unified 12-song project that began with Meg's solo efforts and evolved into a collaborative band endeavor. This shift from a solo project to a cohesive group effort marks a significant evolution for the band. The indie-pop trio from Billings, MT continues to evolve with each release.

Be Edise, the result of this transition, stands as their most successful release to date. Mixed by Grammy-nominated engineer Alex Newport, the record has seen considerable success, including touring across seven new states in 2023. This release surpassed 104,000 streams on Spotify, and the single "When It Is Raining" has exceeded 50,000 streams. Gilda House is excited to have you along for the ride as they embark on this kinetic new chapter with the release of "How Bad".
